This month is just flying by.  Where have the days gone?  Too soon it will be March.  Ah well . . .

Lunch & Learn is scheduled for Wednesday, February 24th at 12 noon in the meeting room.  Our guest speaker is Mr. Terrance Fluker of the U. S. Census Bureau.  Mr. Fluker will be giving us a look at the history and the importance of the census.  Please join us as we welcome Mr. Fluker to the library.  Please remember to bring a lunch, the library will provide drinks and dessert.

We have tax forms.  They are located in a metal rack immediately to your left as you walk into the main part of the library from the front lobby.  If we do not have the form you are looking for, we may be able to access it from the IRS website.  We have made an order for additional forms from the IRS.  We will put them out as soon as we receive them.  Please be patient with us.

This is a gentle reminder.  If you are too sick to go to work or to school, you are too sick to come to the library.  While we love all our patrons very much, if you are sick, please follow your doctor’s orders and rest.  We will be happy to renew your materials over the phone.  Thank you.

Do you have, or do you know anyone who has, a child under the age of five?  Have you heard of the Reading Railroad, the locally named chapter of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library?  Reading Railroad is a fantastic, free program available to all children under the age of five who live here in Haywood County.  This program provides a free book per month to each child from birth to age five.  Did we mention that it was free?  Applications are available here at the library.  It only takes a few minutes of your time to ensure that your child receives books that will affect them for a lifetime.  Reading – it does a body good.

            Happy Reading!
