Oh . . .my . . . goodness!  It is way too hot outside.  Please be very careful if you have to be out in the heat for any length of time.  Please be sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks.  You can always beat the heat by reading a really cool book!

July is almost gone.  There are only a few days left for teens and adults to enter the Teen Summer Reading and Adult Summer Reading contests.  Finish reading those books and when you return them to the library, fill out a “How I Liked This Book” form found at the circulation desk, and place it in the appropriate drawing box.  We can’t wait to see who wins this month.

It is hard to believe that, even though summer is in full swing, school will be starting in a few weeks.  My, oh, my, where does the time go?  Have you been enjoying your summer fun?  Have you been completing your summer reading lists?  There are only a few weeks left to get that reading done.

Here is a schedule of events for the month of August for the library.

Monday, August 2nd and Monday, August 15th:  Toddler Time at 11 a.m.  All toddlers and their caregivers are invited to Toddler Time to listen to stories, color and have a light snack.  We love Toddler Time.

Wednesday, August 24th:  Lunch & Learn at 12 noon.  Everyone is invited to come to Lunch & Learn at the Library.  Each month we have different speakers come and talk about a variety of topics.  Please remember to bring a lunch, the library will provide drinks and dessert.  Let’s Lunch & Learn at the Library!

The library has more fun things on our calendar for the month of July.  We have Toddler Time scheduled for Monday, July 18th at 11 a.m.  All toddlers and their caregivers are invited to hear stories, color and have a light snack.  We love our toddlers at Toddler Time.  We also have Lunch & Learn set for Wednesday, July 27th at 12 noon in the meeting room.  Our guest speaker will soon be announced.  Please remember to bring a lunch, the library will provide drinks and dessert.  Let’s Lunch & Learn a the Library!
