There are only a few more days left for Tax Season.  We still have a few forms left here at the library.  Don’t be late!

Toddler Time will be offered on Monday, April 16th at 11am.  All toddlers and their caregivers are invited to come and listen to stories, color and have a light snack.  We love Toddler Time at the Library.

There is only one Free Computer Class left.  The class is on Medicare Part D on Tuesday, April 17th.  There are a few spaces available.  Please call or come by the library to register.  Classes are offered from 8:30am – 9:30am and from 3pm – 4pm.  The final Lab Day will be offered on Friday, April 20th, also from 8:30am – 9:30am and from 3pm – 4pm.

Lunch & Learn will be offered on Wednesday, April 25th at 12 noon.  Our speaker is yet to be announced.  Please remember to bring a lunch, the library provides drinks and dessert.  Let’s Lunch & Learn at the Library.  If you know of a person or program who you would be interested in learning about for a Lunch & Learn Program, please contact Katherine at the library.  Thanks.

We have a most wonderful celebration coming up here at the Elma Ross Public Library.  On May 10th from 4-6pm, the library will be celebrating two great milestones.  The first milestone is the 20th Anniversary of the Elma Ross Public Library building.  It is hard to believe that we have been in this building at this location for 20 years, all thanks to Mr.& Mrs. Dick Ross.  The second milestone is the 100th Anniversary of Library Service here in Haywood County.  Haywood County, a recipient of a library grant from Andrew Carnegie, opened the Carnegie Library in Brownsville, TN in 1912.  What a phenomenal accomplishment!  We are so very proud of our library service and we want to celebrate.  So please join us here at the Elma Ross Public Library on May 10th from 4-6pm.  We have speakers from our local government to the Tennessee State Library and Archives coming.  We will have refreshments, a (hopefully successful) butterfly release, as well as touring the recently renovated library facilities.

            Happy Reading!
