*Sung to the tune of “Jingle Bells”*

Dashing through the stacks,

in a four-wheeled red book-cart.

O’re the carpet we go.

Where, oh where, do we start?

Putting books on shelves,

making Melville proud.

What fun it is to shelve these books,

and sing a shelving song tonight.

Oh, Generalities, Philosophy and

Psychology all go here.

Oh, what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart.

Religion, Social Sciences,

Languages, here we go!

Oh what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart.

A day or two ago,

we thought we’d get caught up.

That never happens though,

Even when we’ve done our part

The cart was clean and bare,

until almost closing time.

Then we remembered to bring

the book-drop in from outside!

Oh, Natural Sciences, Applied Sciences,

Arts & Recreation over here.

Oh, what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart.

Literature, History,

Geography, Biographies too!

Oh what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart.

Fiction here! Easy’s there!

DVD’s and Audios too!

Oh, what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart.

Now we’re through.  Singing’s done.

Everything’s in its place.

Oh, what fun it is to shelve

from a four-wheeled red book-cart!

Happy Reading!  The Library will be closed on Dec. 24th; Dec. 25th; and Dec. 26th.  Have a blessed holiday season.

Oh my goodness .. . . . what fun, what fun, what fun!  We had such an amazingly exciting time at the Gingerbread House Family Night last week.  All the houses were just gorgeous and yummy!  We heard the stories of “The Gingerbread Baby” and “Gingerbread Friends” by Jan Brett, and then proceeded to construct the most awesome houses ever out of frosting, graham crackers and candy.  Gingerbread House Family Night is a wonderful family tradition here at the Elma Ross Public Library and we love offering this program every year!

We have one final Toddler Time Program for the year 2012.  Toddler Time will be offered on Monday, December 17th at 11am.  All toddlers and their caregivers are invited to listen to stories, color or other craft, and have a light snack.  We love Toddler Time at the Library!

The library will be closed on Monday, December 24th; Tuesday, December 25th; and Wednesday, December 26th in observance of the holidays.  Have a blessed holiday season!
