Fizz, Boom, Read Summer Reading Program 2014 is officially ended for the year. We are so proud of everyone who participated. You guys did really well and we encourage you to continue reading. The puppet show by the Elma Ross Players was so much fun! Now for the time you have been waiting for. The winners of the Fizz, Boom, Read Summer Reading program are . . . . . . . Ashley Taylor and Ashley Douglas who each read over 100 books each. All of our participants are winners because reading is so much fun! Congratulations Ashley and Ashley. Woo hoo! Fizz, Boom, Read sure went out with a bang!

OK, teens and adults, you still have a few weeks left for your Summer Reading Contests for the month of July. You have until Thursday, July 31st at 5pm to 1) read a book or two, or three or more then 2) return said book(s), then 3) fill out a “How I Liked this Book” form found at the circulation desk and 4) place your entry into the appropriate box. See, it’s easy and quite simple – just read and enter. The more you read, the more you can enter, the better chance that your name will be drawn for a prize at the end of the month. So keep reading all you teens and adults!

Do you love our library? We know that we do. If you love our library as much as we do, please take a moment to thank the City of Brownsville and Haywood County for supporting us. Without the city and county support we would not be able to offer the materials and programs that we do. Our funding is vital. Please encourage the city and county to continue funding our library so that we may serve the citizens of Brownsville and Haywood County. Let’s all Geek the Library!

Happy Reading!
