This has been a historic week to say the least. Election Day was on Tuesday. If you were of legal age and registered to vote, did you? It is so very important in the United States, since we were founded as a democratic nation, that we take our civic duty earnestly and cast our vote when asked/required to do so. Do your due diligence, research your candidates, and cast your ballot. America is a great nation, founded on sound principles; however, we need to keep ourselves informed through reliable sources so that we may make educated decisions about how our town/city/state/nation is governed.

On Friday of this week we will celebrate Veterans’ Day. “Veterans’ Day, (a) holiday formerly observed in the United States as Armistice Day in commemoration of the signing of the Armistice ending World War I. Nov. 11 officially became Veterans’ Day on May 24, 1954, by act of Congress. The day is set aside in honor of all those who have fought in defense of the United States.” (“Veterans’ Day.” The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia™, Columbia University Press, 2016. Kids InfoBits.) Our deepest, most heartfelt thanks are extended to all our Veterans who have served, who are still serving, or who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. God Bless you.

Happy Reading.
