A happy and blessed Thanksgiving Day to you all! The Elma Ross Public Library is closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We have so many things to be thankful for.

We are thankful for books! We are a library after all, we LOVE books. We are thankful to see all of our library patrons coming in our doors. We are thankful to assist you in searching for the information that you need. It makes our jobs worthwhile to see you accomplish your goals to finish that test or complete your resume or finish whatever report you are working on. We are thankful for computers. Frustrated with them at times too, but generally thankful to use them when they work correctly. We are thankful for our comfortable library building. We have hot and cold running water, working lights, working restrooms, working heating and air systems. Knock-on-wood, that we didn’t just jinx any of that. We are thankful for our custodian who keeps the library clean and spotless and who takes great pride in keeping the library looking so beautiful. We are thankful for a community, city, and county that supports our library. We are thankful for a hard working library board. We are thankful for our regional library staff who assist us in making our library the best that it can be. We are thankful for the all of our library staff who work so hard to keep everything running smoothly. Yes, we are thankful.

Quick announcement. The Annual Gingerbread house Family Night is coming up on Friday, December 2 at 7pm. Registration is required. Call the library at 772-9534 to make your reservation today.

Happy Reading!
