April? Really? It’s April already, where has the time gone? Well, now that it is the month of April and spring is here it is time to start thinking about summer reading here at the library. This year’s theme for summer reading is “Libraries Rock!” and we are going to have a rocking good time here. We are currently finalizing programs but we can give you the dates to put on your calendars. So without further ado, the dates of Libraries Rock Summer Reading are Thursdays at 2pm beginning on Thursday, June 7th through Thursday July 12th. Libraries Rock Summer Reading programs are offered for children from pre-K to upcoming 6th graders. We will also have Teen and Adult Reading Contests for the months of June and July for teens age 12-17 and adults age 18 and over. Everyone can participate in Summer Reading here at the Elma Ross Public Library. We’d like to see everyone reading this summer. We love reading!

Did you know that April 12th is Drop Everything and Read Day? We would like to invite everyone to come by the library on April 12th and read while relaxing on the library lawn, weather permitting of course. If the weather is uncooperative, you are more than welcome to come inside the library, find a comfy spot, and read. Let’s all get caught reading for Drop Everything and Read Day on April 12th.

Happy Reading!
