Now for the somewhat traditional holiday poem to the tune of “Let it Snow”.
Oh the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful.
And since we’ve no place to be,
Let us read, let us read, let us read!
It doesn’t show signs of stopping.
And I brought some corn for popping.
The lights are turned up to see,
Let us read, let us read, let us read!
When we finally say goodnight
How we’ll hate getting out in the storm.
But it you’ll really hold me tight,
All the way home we’ll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And my dear, we’re still good-bye-ing.
But as long as you still love me,
Let us read, let us read, let us read!
