What a busy few weeks it has been. We finally have changed our internet provider here at the library. Better rates for us with faster internet connection for everyone. So far so good.

It is now the month of September. Egads, it really is. The Elma Ross Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 5, in observance of Labor Day. School has started back full swing and we want to remind everyone about some great resources that are available to you. The Tennessee Electronic Library is a fantastic site for all your school needs. From research to test prep, TEL has it all. The Regional Ebook and Audiobook Download System is also available to all patrons. If the library’s copy of the book you need is checked-out, go the READS site and see if it is available there for download. Try it.

Do you know that every child who resides here in Haywood County from birth to age five is eligible to receive a free book in the mail each month until they reach 5? Haywood County Reading Railroad’s goal is to get every eligible child signed up for this engaging program. There is no cost to sign-up. Applications are available here at the library, the Health Department, and several other offices around town. Sign-up today!

Happy Reading!
